Community Ambassador05/01/12

The Community Ambassador functions as a member of the Development staff of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. With a team of United Way staff and volunteers, Community Ambassadors conduct, manage and monitor assigned corporate and individual solicitations as well as employee campaigns so that maximum results are achieved. The Community Ambassador is an extension of the Development staff and is responsible for supervising specific fund raising campaigns, collecting donor data and detail, and working as a team member with staff to achieve fund raising goals. Senior Development Manager, Emerging Leaders05/01/12

The Senior Development Manager will participate as an integral part of the Engagement Team that engages directly individual donors, prospects and volunteers from various industries to build strong relationships and ties to United Way’s work. The Senior Development Manager will manage and support the Emerging Leaders volunteer committees facilitating strategy and executing on activities to grow and strengthen our relationships with this sector to lead to increased money, time, influence and good will for United Way.  read more »

Senior Development Manager, Professional Services05/01/12

The Senior Development Manager will act as an integral part of a team that spends the majority of their time in the field meeting and interfacing with stakeholders and prospects in order to identify, follow up and connect opportunities with individuals and organizations. The Senior Manager will use several donor acquisition channels to grow and strengthen our relationships with a select group of organizations; Employee Campaign Managers, individual donors, and executive leaders within those organizations, in order to expand United Way presence throughout organizations. These relationships are meant to inspire greater and more consistent involvement with United Way, and will result in greater generosity of time, influence, and money. Fundamental to the Senior Manager role is relationship management. The Senior Manager has shared responsibility for the team’s revenue goals and annual plan and will report to and work closely with the Senior Development Director, Professional Services/Real Estate.  read more »

Community Impact Director - Family Financial Stability04/23/12

Work with staff, volunteers, community residents, organizations and leaders to further United Way’s mission and increase its investment in community building activities that focus on preventing problems, strengthening local assets and increasing neighborhood leadership. Staff volunteer committees which review and make funding recommendations regarding human service organizations affiliated and/or partnering with United Way, serving as primary liaison to these agencies. Build relationships on behalf of United Way with key community leaders and constituents. Participate in refining and implementing Community Impact Division priorities, strategies and initiatives to build on community assets that address needs and barriers. Contribute to organizational fundraising efforts. Assist United Way’s efforts to keep abreast of state, community and neighborhood issues. Represent United Way in statewide and community meetings.

Experience required in issues relating to Family Financial Stability (FFS) required. This term is utilized by United Way to include the programs tools and resource elements necessary to enable families to achieve economic security (i.e., workforce development, affordable housing, asset formation, basic needs and financial education).  read more »

AmeriCorps VISTA Member04/03/12

General Description: This full time AmeriCorps VISTA member will work alongside United Way of the Greater Seacoast staff on solutions to issues relating to Family Financial Stability and Healthy Child Development. The VISTA will work on programming designed to help families increase their financial stability and be in a better position to attain and retain permanent housing. The VISTA will have the opportunity to support the United Way Early Reader Volunteer Program and K-Ready Kids literacy drive - initiatives focused on helping more children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.  read more »

Resource Development, Director (Portsmouth, NH office)03/29/12

The Director, Resource Development will act as an integral part of a team that spends the majority of their time in the field interfacing with stakeholders and prospects in order to achieve the resource development goals of United Way of the Greater Seacoast. The Director is charged with growing and strengthening our relationships with a select group of organizations, Employee Campaign Managers, individual donors, and executive leaders, in order to expand United Way’s presence throughout the area. These relationships are meant to inspire greater and more consistent involvement with us, and result in greater generosity of time, influence, and money. The Director will work with the Senior Director to develop and carry out a plan for his/her assigned area of responsibility, which includes using all United Way donor acquisition models (workplace campaigns, leadership outreach and events, community engagement etc.) and working with volunteers to leverage resources. The Director has shared responsibility for the team’s revenue goals and annual plan and will focus his/her attention on establishing and building strong donor and corporate relationships, identifying and creating new partnerships, and other related duties.  read more »
